SONG COMPETITION (SC)



1.    TITLE & COMMENCEMENT
The ‘Legal Spectra, 2020- SONG COMPETITION’, shall be held as per the schedule to be fixed by the Organizing Committee. Unless a contrary intention appears from the context, the following words and expression are used in the following sense –
·         SC means ‘Legal Spectra,-2020–‘SONG COMPETITION’
·         CS means the ‘Cultural society, SNIL’.
·         Organizers/ Administrators/ Authority means ‘Members of Organizing Committee of Legal Spectra, 2020’.
·         Team means, Team registered for SC composed of members from the participating Teams from the respective Law School/ College/ University in Legal Spectra, 2020.
2.    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & TEAM COMPOSITION
·         Undergraduate students pursuing three or five year courses of LL.B degree in the academic year 2019-2020 from any Law School/ College/ university recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate.
·         Only one Team can register from a particular law school/ College/ Institution/ University to participate in the SC.
·         Only one member can participate from each Team.
3.    FORMAT OF THE COMPETITION
·         The event will be conducted in only one round.
·         The time limit for the competition will be maximum of 3 minutes for each participant. However, 1 minute will be given to each Team for stage preparation.
·         The Team with the highest score at the end of the round shall be declared as winner.
4.    MISCELLANEOUS
·         The time for performance may be subject to changes by the Organizing Committee.
·         The winner will be announced at the Valedictory Ceremony.
·         The Organizing Committee shall not provide any instruments, the participants are required to bring their CDs/pen-drives and arrange for the instruments required; however they will be provided with a music system.
·         Participants will bring two copies of the recorded tracks, of which one should be submitted to the members of CS at the time of reporting. The host institute will not be responsible for the failure of any recorded track/ CDs.
·         In case of Tie, the Organizing Committee shall have the freedom to adopt appropriate methods of Tie-breaking.
·         The organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action for any unethical, unprofessional and immoral conduct.
·         The Rules specified herein above shall be strictly adhered to.
·         The Organizing Committee reserves the right to disqualify Teams for deviating from the Rules.
·         The Committee will resolve any contingencies that may arise during the conduct of the SC and will be the final arbiters regarding any doubts / grievances.
·         The decision taken by the Committee shall be final and binding. These Rules are not exhaustive.
